Extreme Activity
The extreme Gameshow with Jürgen von der Lippe
Charades – one of the most popular family games – has now been turned into an exciting primetime TV show called ‘Activity’. But be warned, it has quite a few surprising, unusual, crazy and, of course, extreme features.
Two TV panels – one male and one female, and each consisting of three VIP guests, compete against each other. A computer randomly decides in which category the teams must play for 90 seconds. One contestant is then chosen to explain a word by either describing, painting or miming it, while his two team-mates try to guess the correct term.
The highlights are the constantly recurring ‘Extreme Rounds’. Here, too, the same disciplines are required – but under extreme conditions! They have to try and mime a word while being suspended in the air by a rope, or explain a word while being strapped to a violently shaking hotseat. Extreme Activity: charming, spontaneous, hilarious and unusual. An innovative blend of game show and improvised comedy. A new family show for Saturday night!
In 2007, Extreme Activity was honoured with Germany’s prestigious Grimme Award for best Entertainment show.
